His reputation is typified by the fact that he ranked World No. 1 in 25 fields out of the Bloomberg News' 43 evaluation criteria for being the best professional forecaster, including euros, British pounds, crude oil prices, gold prices, agricultural products prices, and US employment. In 2018, he was named No. 1 among the 100 most influential management advisors by Investopedia, the world's largest information website for investment. He has also delivered keynote speeches at various events held by renowned organizations including the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the Federal Reserve System (FRS), and is well sought after for his advice to companies and governments. Of the 32 books he has written so far, 12 have been bestsellers. His last year's work, “The Future After COVID”, was translated and published in Korea and went to sell the most copies among COVID-related books in Korea. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Futurist Institute, which trains analysts for economic and business forecasting, and Prestige Economics, a consulting firm.
  • Eric MaskinProfessor of Economics at Harvard University (2007 Nobel Laureate in Economics) Maskin is an authority on game theory and a great American scholar who shared the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2007 with Leonid Hurwicz and Roger Myerson for their elaborate development of the mechanism design theory into the framework of game theory. The key to his theory is that society must not depend solely on the market to protect the environment or to provide all citizens with high-quality medical services; rather, it is necessary to make adequate policy choices and determine the mechanisms and agencies. He earned his PhD in mathematics at Harvard in 1976 and continued his research at MIT and Cambridge. He served as a professor at Princeton, teaching social science in the Institute for Advanced Study, and is currently a professor of economics at Harvard where he has been based since 2012.
  • Chin Dae-jeChairman of SkyLake Investment Korea’s leading innovator. The late Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Kun-hee said, “There are no geniuses at Samsung, but there are three talented individuals who are near geniuses,” of which one of them is Chin Dae-je, well-known as being something of a brain. He graduated from Kyunggi High School and earned a bachelor’s and master’s in electronic engineering from Seoul National University, after which he received a Ph.D. in electronics from Stanford University as the first student to study abroad at government expense. He worked for the IBM Watson Research Institute before he moved on to Samsung Electronics in 1985, where he led the development of the world’s first 16M DRAM. His nickname at the time was Mr. Chip. He later became CEO of Samsung Electronics, after which he became the Minister of Information and Communication during the years of participatory governance. He also served as the first president of the Korea Blockchain Association and is now Chairman of SkyLake Investment.
  • Jeon Kwang-wooChairman of the Institute for Global Economics Jeon is an economic and financial expert in Korea who is actively engaged in various activities in the public and private sector all over the world for over 40 years. He served as founding Chairman of Financial Services Commission (2008-2009) and led the country to overcome the global financial crisis at an early stage. He was also the first Korean Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions and the longest Chairman and CEO of the National Pension Service (2009-2013). He earned a B.A. in Economics from Seoul National University and an MBA and PhD in finance and business administration from Indiana University. He served as a finance professor at Indiana University and Michigan State University and worked for the World Bank for 15 years as a chief economist for finance. In 1998 he was invited by the Korean government to return to Korea and served as Special Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Korea Center for International Finance, helping Korea overcome the financial crisis also referred to as the IMF crisis. His positions also include Group Vice Chairman of Woori Financial Holdings, Chairman of Deloitte Korea, Chairman of the Board of POSCO, and Ambassador for International Finance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
  • Leo TilmanPresident of Tilman & Company (Former BlackRock senior executive) President Tilman is a leading authority on US financial strategy, and carries the nickname of Wall Street's young genius. He worked as a strategist at BlackRock, the world's largest asset management company, which recently decided to reflect ESG in all of its investment strategies. In 2013, he was also intoruced as being the inventor of the "Corporate Risk Scorecard (nutrition label for companies)" by Barron's, a leading source of financial news in the US. He went on to redefine risk intelligence using the keywords of survival and prosperity, and cited the term as being a new essential competency that companies and investors should possess, a move which has gained attention from a variety of fields. He was also named on the Forbes' list of Business Visionaries and is currently working as Chairperson of Capitol Peak Asset Management, and is also an adjunct professor at Columbia University in New York, his alma mater with bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics.
  • Kim Yong-jinChairman of the National Pension Service Kim Yong-jin is an economist and financial expert who has established ESG investment standards for the National Pension Service, whose operating assets are worth 873 trillion KRW. In May, he also proposed a direction for South Korea's ESG (K-ESG) with his book “A New Path of ESG, to be Taken Together with the National Pension Service”. Chairman Kim joined the South Koren government after passing the 30th National Administrative Exam with the highest score in the educational category in 1986, and was in charge of budget and public institution policies at the Economic Planning Board, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, and the Ministry of Strategy and Finance for more than 30 years. After serving as the 2nd Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance in 2017-18 and as CEO of Korea East-West Power in 2016-17, he then took office as the 18th Chairman of the National Pension Service in August last year. In addition to having established ESG standards for the National Pension Service, he is also known to play a pivotal role in the organization’s aggressive investments and stable profit generation.
  • Ko Hyung-kwonAmbassador of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Korea to the OECD Ko is the best ‘policy planner’ of the Ministry of Economy and Finance with exceptional initiative and drive, and is an expert in international finance. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Seoul National University, after which he completed an MBA program at the University of Colorado and earned an M.A. in Public Policy from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management. He entered public service after passing the 30th National Administrative Examination and served as Director of the Administration Team, Director of the Policy Planning Team, and Director of Finance and Management Team at the Ministry of Planning and Budget after working in the Trend Analysis Division, Economic Survey Division, and Planning and Management Division of the Economic Planning Board. At the Ministry of Economy and Finance, he served as Deputy Director General for Performance Management and then as Director General for Policy Coordination of the Fiscal Management Bureau, after which he became Deputy Minister for Planning and Coordination. He left the public office as Executive Director in the Asian Development Bank and returned as the 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance immediately after the inauguration of the Moon Jae-in administration. Currently, he is the Permanent Representative of Korea to the OECD.
  • Yun Sun-jinChairperson of the Presidential Subcommittee for a Sustainable Society Professor Yun Sun-jin is the best environmental and energy policy expert in Korea and is a practitioner that is taking the lead in the energy conversion movement. She also serves as Chairperson of the Korea Energy Information and Culture Agency, that of the Presidential Subcommittee for Sustainable Society, and that of the Sustainable Development Committee under the Ministry of Environment. In addition, she participated in drafting governmental energy policies while working at the Energy Committee and Electric Power Policy Council under the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, and the Seoul Sustainable Development Committee. Professor Yun highlights the need for energy conversion as a means of addressing the climate crisis. She points out the limitations of the centralized power system based on nuclear power and coal-fired power, and argues that such challenges could be overcome through the concept of power self-sufficiency, which means that power generation should take place in such locations where the demand for electricity arises, centering on renewable energy. Professor Yun has further explained that this approach will not only solve environmental problems based on sustainability, but also contribute to the creation of jobs and economic profit.
  • Yun Chang-hyunCongressman in the People Power Party (Former President of the Korea Institute of Finance) Yun Chang-hyun is a politician who, with his career as an economist, is unanimously regarded as South Korea’s leading expert in finance. After graduating from Seoul National University with a degree in physics, he transferred to the Department of Economics at the same university and earned another bachelor's degree there. Afterwards, he received a master's degree in economics from Seoul National University's graduate school and then a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago's graduate school. He then served as the president of the Korea Institute of Finance, a private member of the Financial Services Commission, a member of the National Competitiveness Reinforcement Committee, and as a private member of the National Economic Advisory Council. In South Korea’s 21st general election last year, he joined South Korea’s National Assembly as a proportional representative of the United Future Party (currently the People Power Party). During a parliamentary audit conducted last year by the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee, he was assessed as having adequately demonstrated his ability as a financial expert with his in-depth investigations of the insolvency of private equity funds, such as Lime and Optimus.
  • Hong Jong-hoProfessor of the Seoul National University Graduate School of Environmental Studies Professor Hong Jong-ho is a master in the environment field in Korea. He has dared to make criticisms against governmental projects that have lacked environmental and economic feasibility, and is also well known for his proactive movement on the response to climate change through ESG. Ordinarily, he spends his time advising his students that they should to devote themselves to conducting research with a warm heart and the passion to share the sorrow of their neighbors and the pain of the ecosystem, while taking a cold-minded intelligence stance to better understand the world. He graduated from Seoul National University Department of Economics and received a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University in the field of environment and energy. He has assumed numerous positions including being a Fellow of the Korea Development Institute (KDI), professor at Hanyang University College of Economics and Finance, chairperson of the Korean Association of Public Finance and Korea Environmental Economics Association, consultant at the World Bank and Asia Development Bank, and a member of the President Committee for the Sustainable Development and the Presidential Special Committee for Financial Reform.
  • Kang Kum-silManaging Partner of One Law Partners, LLC Attorney Kang is a lawyer and former politician who holds the title of “the first female Minister of Justice.” She served as a judge for 13 years, and while working as a human rights lawyer after her resignation from the office at the court in 1996, she was appointed as the first female Minister of Justice in Korean history, and was also one of the initial Ministers under the Roh administration in 2003. At that time when she took office as Minister, Attorney Kang was 46 years old. She retired from her post as Minister in 2004 and then, worked as a managing partner at Jipyong, and an advisory attorney for One Law Partners, LLC. She currently serves as a managing partner of One Law Partners and is the Chairperson of Sun, a corporation established by One Law Partners for pro bono work. Furthermore, since 2015, she has taken the position of Chairperson of the People for Earth forum, based on her deep interest in the environment, and has further served as an advisor to the National Climate and Environment Conference, since 2019
  • Woo Tae-heeFull-time Vice President of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry Woo Tae-hee is a former high-ranking bureaucrat with extensive experience in all South Korean industry sectors. He is at the forefront of the effort to embed ESG management in South Korea’s domestic companies based on his wide-ranging expertise. After joining the South Korean government after passing the 27th National Administrative Exam as the youngest person in the exam's history to score the highest marks, he has served in key positions in the Ministry of Industry, such as Chief Industrial Policy Officer, Industrial Technology Policy Officer, and Trade Negotiation Director. He is regarded as having acquired proficiency in international affairs while serving as a commercial attaché at the South Korean Embassy in the United States. His 1998 thesis, written while he was attending the UC Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy, was named as ‘the best thesis’ by Professor Condoleezza Rice, who served as U.S. Secretary of State. He is also well-known for his tactful way of handling matters. After moving to the full-time vice chairman position at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said, “Now is an era where how a company makes money is more important than how much money it makes”. As such, he is making a name as an evangelist of ESG.
  • Park Dae-dongChairperson of the ESG Committee of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Mr. Park is a politician who previously worked as a senior economic official. After passing the 22nd public administration examination and starting his career as an economic bureaucrat at the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Chairperson Park has held various major posts at the Ministry, such as Head of National Savings Division, Director for Planning and Budget, and Head of Foreign Currency Fund Division. He also became a financial expert based on his broad experience of having served as the 1st Director General of the Supervisory Policy Bureau, a standing member of the Financial Supervisory Commission, and as the CEO of the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation. After entering the political circle in 2012, he worked as a politician representing the financial sector by proposing important bills such as the “Special Act on the Prevention of Insurance Fraud”. Since March 2018, he has served as Chairperson of the board of directors at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, and since last March, he has taken the office of Chairperson of the ESG Committee of the company. Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance has demonstrated its willingness to strengthen ESG management, as evidenced by President Choi Young-moo's mentioning of it as being one of the three core strategies earlier this year, together with overseas and digital strategies.
  • Kim Dong-jaeChairperson of the ESG Committee of Korean Air Chairperson Kim previously worked at McKinsey, a global management consulting company, and is a master of strategic management that combines theory and practice. He graduated from Seoul National University and received a doctoral degree for management strategy for multinational corporations from Wharton School in Pennsylvania in the United States. His main fields include growth strategy, change management, and evolution of corporate capabilities. After working as a management consultant at McKinsey, he served as Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the University of Illinois and CEO of Korea Internet Holdings. He is currently teaching international business and strategy at Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies. He is actively participating in academic activities, including a wide range of forums and conferences related to corporate management innovation and strategic management.
  • Oh Kyu-taekChairperson of the ESG Committee of KB Financial Group Mr. Oh served as the first chairperson of the ESG committee under the board of directors, which was established by the KB Financial Group last year. He has participated in the establishment of a number of policy financial institutions, including Korea Venture Investment, Korea Finance Corporation, and KoMoCo, and has worked as a private member of the Public Fund Management Committee and the KOSDAQ Committee.   • Park Seok-beomCo-chairman of the Ban Ki-Moon ESG Academy (Former Secretary General of the UN Global Compact Network Korea) Park Seok-beom is a well-known South Korean diplomat and global ESG evangelist. He served as the 3rd Secretary-General of the South Korean wing of the UN Global Compact Network, a specialized organization under the United Nations that was founded to promote the sustainable and balanced advancement of companies through cooperation between the companies and the UN. He is regarded as having provided South Korean businesses with insight concerning ESG research and activities during his tenure as Secretary-General of the UN Global Compact Network Korea. A successful candidate for the 13th Foreign Service Exam, he served as an adjunct professor at Far East University after having first served as an ambassador to Iraq, an ambassador to Bangladesh, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Houston. He also served as the working representative of South Korea for the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations between South Korean and the European Union (EU), the chief representative of the South Korean government's negotiation team for shipbuilding-related negotiations between South Korea and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the chief representative of South Korean government's negotiation team for the South Korea-China Aviation Agreement.
  • Chung Man-kiPresident of the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association Chairperson Chung is an expert in economic practices from the industrial ministry with a broad range of experience encompassing the fields of industry, trade and technology. After passing the 27th public administration examination and entering the public office in 1983, he has held a wide variety of positions, including Chief of the General Affairs Division and Director General for Industrial Policy at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MCIE), Director General for Trade Policy at the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Director General for the Information and Communication Industry, Spokesperson, Chief of the Planning and Coordination Office, Chief of the Industrial Infrastructure Office under the MCIE, Presidential Secretary of Trade, Industry and Energy and the 1st Vice Minister of the MCIE. Thanks to his abundance of ideas for policies and outstanding work skills, he has firmly kept the title of being the “leader of the colleague group” by being the first to be promoted to the first-level during his work at the Ministry of Knowledge Economy. When serving as the spokesperson, he drew much attention by introducing the “Written Spokesperson Briefing” system with the intention of strengthening communication with the media. Since January 2019, he has been the President of the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association, playing a role in bringing vitality to the automotive industry, which has been facing difficulties during these troubled times.
  • Shin Jhin-youngPresident of the Korea Corporate Governance Service Mr. Shin is an expert in the field of corporate finance and governance, having specialized in both theory and practice. After graduating from the Department of Economics of Seoul National University, he acquired a master's degree at the same university and further completed his master's and doctoral courses in Finance at Carnegie Mellon University. Currently, he is working as a Professor of School of Business at Yonsei University. He has also worked previously as a professor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Ajou University, and National University of Singapore, and has held various positions, including being an Advisory Committee Member of the Financial Supervisory Service, Vice President of the Korea Money & Finance Association, and the 36th President of the Korean Securities Association.   • Kim Se-hoonVice President of Hyundai Motor Company Vice President Kim Se-hoon has played a leading role in making Hyundai Motor Company the world's No. 1 hydrogen electric vehicle maker. After obtaining bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from Seoul National University and a doctor's degree from RWTH-Aachen University in Germany, he joined Hyundai Motor Company in 2003 and since then has led the development of hydrogen electric vehicles. He has been appraised as a major player in Hyundai Motor Company's launch of the world's first mass-produced hydrogen electric vehicle(FCEV), the Tucson ix35 in 2013 and another model with performance equivalent to that of an internal combustion engine, NEXO in 2018. In January 2021, he was promoted to Vice President, only three years after taking the role of Head of Hyundai Motor's Fuel Cell Business Division (executive director-level) in October 2018. In recognition of his contribution to the protection of industrial technologies, he received a commendation from the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy in 2019.
  • Yoo Ji-youngVice President of LG Chem Mr. Yoo is a strategic specialist that implemented a new growth engine in LG Chem, which had previously been focused on petrochemicals. In 2011, he moved from Management Strategy at LG Chem (Managing Director) to LG Corporation, the holding company of LG Group, at which point he then assumed the position of Management Strategy Team Leader (in chemical division), and led the reorganization of the group’s chemical-related business portfolio. Chairperson Koo Kwang-mo, who took the position of CEO in LG in 2018, also worked together with Mr. Yoo while he was serving as the Management Strategy Team Leader. After returning to LG Chem in 2017, he was later promoted to the position of Vice President (Head of Materials Business Division) in 2018, held numerous positions including Head of Information and Electronic Materials Business Division and Head of Advanced Materials Business Division, and has been in charge of the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) since last December. In terms of education, Mr. Yoo acquired his bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry from Seoul National University and has also completed his doctorate.
  • Kim Yong-hyunCEO of Hanwha Asset Management Mr. Kim is a certified global alternative investment expert. He majored in physics at the University of Chicago, USA, and then went on to complete further study at Harvard Law School and Columbia University Graduate School of Business (MBA) courses. From 1999 to 2001, he worked at Goldman Sachs Headquarters (in New York), the leading investment bank in the United States, and served as the president of the Korean branch of Carlyle Group, a US Private Equity Fund (PEF) for 10 years from 2001 to 2011. After holding the position of the Head of the Alternative Investment Business Unit at Hanwha Life Insurance, the parent company of Hanwha Asset Management, from 2012 to 2015 , he has been leading Hanwha Asset Management since 2016. In December last year, he established the “Sustainability Strategy Office,” a dedicated unit for responsible investment under the CEO, in order to promote ESG management, and more recently added the ESG Committee, which will function as a control tower for the office.
  • Lee Chae-wonAdvisor to Korea Investment Value Asset Management Mr. Lee is an "expert in value investment." Since entering the securities industry in 1988, he has consistently engaged in value investment, and later in 1998, developed and managed the “Value Lee Chae-won Fund,” the first value investment fund in Korea. Despite the difficulties caused by the IT bubble in 1999, he adhered to his investment principles, and then during the period of April 2000 to February 2006, he took charge of the unique account of Korea Investment & Securities and recorded a return of 435%. During the same period, he also achieved a return rate of around 8 times the increase rate in the securities market (KOSPI), establishing himself as a master of value investment. His cumulative rate of return from 2000 to 2019 amounts to 1091%, which is 4.6 times higher than the increase rate of the KOSPI over the same period. He was awarded the first prize for the development of the financial industry (Financial Supervisory Service) and named as a person of merit in establishing a long-term investment culture (Financial Services Committee). He is currently working as an advisor to the Korea Investment Value Asset Management after having served as the CEO of the same company from 2018 to 2020.

  • Yoon Seok-moHead of Samsung Securities ESG Institute As a stock market expert with career experience gained in several stock firms in Korea and overseas, Yoon is a leading ESG consultant in the financial investment industry. He served as an analyst for financial business and holding companies at Samsung Securities, JP Morgan, and Credit Suisse, and joined Samsung Securities in 2013. He is in charge of industrial materials and construction at Samsung Securities, and has been appointed head of the Equity (Stock) Department since 2016. He has been serving as a joint director for the research center at Samsung Securities since 2018. Starting last year, he is also serving as the Director of the first ESG Research Institute in the securities industry established by Samsung Securities.
  • Lim Sung-taekManaging Partner of Jipyong As a model of an intellectual in action, Lim entered Seoul National University School of Law in 1982 and participated in student movements as the student body president. He was a civil rights activist for quite some time even after graduating.   • Yoo Won-mooDirector General of the TISO Management Office under the Strategic Management Center of Pulmuone Director General Yoo currently leads Pulmuone's ESG management, which has been evaluated as the best in the food industry. He graduated from Department of Law, Korea University and worked at Taekwang Industrial and Korea Life Insurance, etc., before joining Pulmuone. In 2009, he served as the first director of the “TISO (Trust, Integrity, Solidarity, Openness)” Division, established by Pulmuone to reflect ESG elements into the company's overall management activities. He is also taking the initiative in spreading the value of “LOHAS,” and pursuing health and sustainable growth by carrying out the wholesome food campaign, which the company has been advocating since 2012. Currently, he is working as the Director General of the TISO Management Office, a dedicated unit for corporate ESG management, in addition to being the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and Head of the Gender Equality Center. Pulmuone was the first company in the Korean food industry to obtain the best (A+) grade in general for four consecutive years in the ESG evaluation, which is performed by the Korea Corporate Governance Service.
  • Eom Ki-minCEO of KG ETS A management specialist who developed KG ETS into an ESG company. Since joining Gyeonggi Chemical in 1992, which later became KG Chemical, , he has performed a key role in large-scale M&A at KG Group for over 20 years. After serving as executive vice president at KG ETS from 2013 to 2016, he is now heading the company as CEO having started in March 2016. He carried forward the major renewable energy projects of KG ETS, such as the power generation project using waste incineration (steam) from Siheung Green Center (2020) and the solar power generation project (2019). Eom Ki-min also led the renewable energy project supplying steam (the remaining heat after incineration) to Turtle Island (Wave Park), which has been rising as a landmark for marine leisure on the west coast. In addition, KG ETS is also actively carrying out resource regeneration projects by recycling plating wastewater (chloride wastewater) and by producing high purity copper oxide (metal PCB) and general copper oxide (paint material for wood preservatives).

He graduated from Seoul National University School of Law and earned his LLM in Law at Indiana University and MBA at the University of Connecticut. He passed the 36th National Administrative Examination and has served in many key posts at the Financial Services Commission, such as the Director of the Industrial Finance Division, Director of the Financial Policy Division, Director General for Financial Group Regulation Bureau, and Director General for Financial & Corporate Restructuring Bureau (director-level).

As a founding member of edaily, he worked as a correspondent in New York and headed the Global Market News Department, Securities Market Department, and Local Department, after which he has been serving as online management editor (deputy managing editor).
